Thursday's Topic: November 15, 2012
Nov. 16th, 2012 06:58 amI forgot yesterday was Thursday. Forgive me, kind people of this community. Anyways, Thursday's topic is on a Friday this week.
Anyways...
Which sequel is your favorite? It could be a theatrical one, a Muppets one, a direct-to-video one, you decide! And for the sake of argument, which sequel do you absolutely LOATHE?
My favorite is Aladdin and the King of Thieves. I find it just as funny as the first one, though the animation is definitely less than stellar. The movie just makes me super happy. The Aladdin series in general does.
And, for the most part, I like/tolerate the sequels. The older ones I grew up with, so the nostalgia connected with them makes it hard for me to hate them. The only one I take extreme amounts of issue with is Fox and the Hound II. It focuses less on Tod & Copper and more on new characters, characters that were highly unpleasant. It just wasn't good, yo.
What about you?

Date: 2012-11-16 08:12 pm (UTC)*~The More You know!~* I especially wonder what they did to entice Williams back. I know he was ticked after the initial movie because they disregarded his wishes about the film advertising, so I'd understand if he didn't want to come back.
Two is good. Three probably wouldn't even have been as good without two. But, three is better. I've found that's often the case with trilogies, on the whole. I feel the same way about LotR, or Johannes Cabal.

Date: 2012-11-17 04:49 pm (UTC)If I remember correctly, they made a huge apology and gave him a painting (a Picasso one, at that). And then they did something to piss him off again and so he's not really in the bonus features on the DVD. Which makes me mad. Because I want to hear what he has to say about the movie, dammit!
My source is IMDB, though, so take it with a grain of salt xD
