Being that I'm weird and enjoy asking people questions and seeing what they have to say, I've decided to make Thursday my official day for asking questions.

Anyways, on to our first topic!

What Disney movie was your favorite growing up? Is it still your favorite now?

Pretty simple question to get things going, I think.

Anyways, my favorite growing up was Aladdin. I don't know when I got it, honestly, but I do know my VHS was destroyed in 2001 after several hundred viewings. I didn't actually get the DVD until 2010 when I got back into Disney films. And, yeah, I am waiting impatiently for Disney to release this on blu-ray and if they release it to 3-D, like they did with The Lion King, I will seriously sell my soul to them.

What about you?

You beat me to the discussion posts!

I actually have a selection, largely because of my VHS collection - that I would watch religiously.

It's a toss up between Hercules, The Lion King, Hunchback, Cinderella, The Sword In The Stone, and The Emperor's New Groove - though that came later on DVD.
You know my opinions on these ;P

You are too wonderful.

And yeah, I was about to edit it and add Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty, because my memory is terrible and I can't make lists.

YES! I had no thoughts of them doing another film since it had been so long so it came totally out of the blue and got me all excited! I have little brothers that were not even born when the original came out and I want to take them to the cinema to see it :D

Ahah, I'm a little disappointed that it's not a sequel - WHAT HAPPENED TO BOOOOOOO? - but I've no doubt it's going to be amazing!

I'm going to have to say The Lion King. It was the first film I ever saw in the cinema and so it's always had a special place in my heart <3 I watched it so many times growing up.

I'm also guessing Beauty and the Beast and Lady and the Tramp were other favourites before The Lion King as I managed to break both videos and the video player by trying to play both at the same time. Oops.

Oh man, I really liked Beauty and the Beast, and in terms of favorites that one's still way at the top of my list. My VHS for that one was also destroyed (RIP), but I recently replaced it on Blu-Ray! ^^

For me it would be a toss up between Beauty & the Beast and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (hey, it had Disney involvement even if it wasn't theirs).

Actually! Cinderella grew on me. I loved it as a kid, but not as much as Beauty and the Beast. That opinion still stands, even if Cindy is my favorite princess.

And my VHSs are in mostly working order save for a few. They're collecting dust in the garage.

I actually don't remember watching a lot of disney when I was a kid, compared to my friends who seem to be able to quote every movie!

I definitely saw and loved beauty and the beast, and snow white was a close second.

Now, I'm looking forward to a rewatch. I love strong female characters, and I want to find them in disney, even if it takes a while :p I know there's definitely some.

Oh, I watched Mulan for the first time in 2010 and adored it :) but Beauty and the Beast still wins for me.

My family didn't have a lot of money growing up, but the one thing they always made sure I had was a Disney film.

Rewatches get kind of ridiculous when Gigi, Keeley and I are involved, so that's definitely something to look forward to.

I'm sure the topic of strong female characters will definitely come up in conversation at some point, but my two cents is that none of the princesses ever SET OUT to get a prince, he was just a bonus ;)

My favourites growing up were Lady and the Tramp and The Aristocats. I had all the full-sized stuffed versions of the characters, the vinyl story albums (there was no VHS then, so this was as close to re-living it as you could get), and as many Scamp and Aristokitten comics as I could get, which were sadly given away when I became an adult. I wish I still had them now because yes, they are still two of my favourites, but I love many others now, like The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Groove, Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Tinkerbell, Tarzan, Robin Hood, etc.

Oh yes, and I'm a long-time fan of the original Parent Trap, Old Yeller, and Pollyanna, as well. :)

My fave Disney movie as a wee child was The Three Caballeros. I watched it constantly when I was little. It's still my favorite "classic" Disney film to this day.

(a lot of my other favorites are from when I was older, since I was into my teens in the mid-90s)

My favorite Disney movie growing up was The Little Mermaid. I watched it incessantly! I still love it, but it's not my favorite anymore—I think I may have OD'ed on it XD I would say my favorite now is The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but it's a close call as I also adore Mulan and The Princess and the Frog, as well as some of older, the non-Princessy films like The Rescuers Down Under, Robin Hood and The Great Mouse Detective.

Ahh I just love Disney why am I even bothering trying to rank them XD

I loooooove The Three Caballeros! My mom just got it on DVD for her birthday and I really enjoyed seeing it again, because I also loved it and watched it constantly when I was little!
