Welcome to our first official community event here at thelaughingplace! *confetti*

Christmas time is here and we’re going all out with a bunch of festive events over the next month or so. Expect livestreams, special posts, discussions and spam parties!

But to truly kick off the season, it’s time for a SECRET SANTA!

Just use the sign up form below, telling us a bit about yourself, and we’ll give you someone to make something fancy for in return!

Should you have a question, either PM a mod or leave a comment on the super special questions post which will be up before long.

Key Dates

The sign-up post (i.e this one) will be closed to new sign-ups on the 21st November.

You will receive your giftee's information on the 22nd November.

Final gifts will be due on the 21st December, to be sent out on the 22nd December. This gives you a month to make your thing as awesome as you can!

We will post a reveal post on the 24th December, which is the place to show off your gift and thank your Santa personally!

Rules

Your gift can be literally anything you think your giftee would like. Fic, art, a video, a collage, whatever you creative impulses manifest as!

Fanfic should be around the length of 1,000 words. How you get there doesn’t matter (e.g, several drabbles, one long piece), but we want to make sure that this is as fair as possible rather than one person get 600 words and another get 2,000. Preferably beta-read, but if you can’t track one down the mods will be happy to help.

If something comes up and you are unable to complete your gift, please contact a mod as soon as possible so we can work something out.

Please keep all works limited to Disney and/or Pixar films, shows, shorts and characters. Referential crossovers to other fandoms is permitted; for example, if you want to write a Mean Girls spoof starring your giftee’s three favourite princesses, that’s fine. But we’d prefer it if you steered clear of full on Disney/non-Disney crossovers.

Please keep all works PG-13 or under. It’s Christmas after all!
